New Training from Academy of Insurance

Insuring the not-so-simple Landlord-Tenant Risks: Who? What? Where? When? and How?

This 2-part series will be held on Nov 1 & 8, 2012

Do you insure any Lessor/Lessee Risks? If so, you can't afford to miss these 2 courses! We will examine the lease between the landlord and tenant and discuss how this not-so-simple and sometimes daunting document affects the insurance programs we write.

Unfortunately leases are not written with insurance in mind, or, for that matter, by people who understand the insurance implications. This two-part series walks the student through the issues faced, but often ignored, by insurance professionals writing coverage for these exposures.

These series is broken down to 2 parts. Part 1 concentrates on issues such as who should insure what property; subrogation; and how to minimize insurance cost by restructuring the lease, while part 2 details the most difficult areas of the property lease improvements and betterments.
